Đây là những bản update cuối cùng để chuẩn bị đón các bản hệ điều hành thế hệ tiếp theo mà Apple đã giới thiệu từ ở WWDC2017. Ở các bản này thường không chứa đựng tính năng mới mà chỉ là sửa lỗi và tăng cường khả năng thực thi. Apple giờ đang tập trung vào hoàn thiện các tính năng mới trên các hệ điều hành iOS11, macOS High Seirra 10.13, watchOS4, tvOS11. Những hệ điều hành mới này dự trù là sẽ chính thức ra mắt trong đợt ra mắt iPhone mới vào tháng 9 tới.

Hiện anh em có thể vào Settings/General/Software Update để cho máy tải về bản update này. Những máy đang chạy bản beta của hệ điều hành mới cho lập trình viên hay người tham gia chương trình beta sẽ không nhận được thông báo update.
